Information stored in E-form has many advantages, cheaper and easier to store and retrieve and speedier to communicate, At present many legal provisions assume the existence of paper based records and documents that must bear signatures, Computers, Mobile phones and the Internet have invaded the world and these technological devices have made profound impact on human. Advancement in technology has brought some problems and disadvantages along with its positive impact and it has posed challenge to all legal systems in the world. Thus as the need of the hour the legal fraternity has evolved new domain of law called” Cyber Law” or “Information Technology Law”.
The modes of communication, interaction, acquisition of information , knowledge, doing business, banking. and entertainment have all under gone a sea change due to information technology in the era of Globalisation. As most human activities are part of computer and mobile network many traditional crimes have also changed their modus operandi and certain new crimes have come into existence, In this regard, it is proposed to provide information and knowledge on cyber laws and cyber crimes.
