Dassault Systemes Foundation – India (La Foundation) is funding the Department of Automation and Robotics, KLE Technological University, to develop a project on Digital Twin Technology with a focus on enhancing interdisciplinary teaching and learning. The project involves the development of a Humanoid Robot and its digital twin using 3D Experience as an educational kit to complement the course.

Project Vision: The main vision of the project is to enhance interdisciplinary teaching and learning, especially in the new technological areas like digital twin, robotics and artificial intelligence, by providing access to open source design resources of a humanoid robot with required hardware and software framework.
Project Objectives: The objectives of the project are:
i. To enhance interdisciplinary teaching and learning using digital twin technology.
ii. To build a Humanoid Robot platform and develop the design as an open source resource which can be used for teaching and learning. The designs will include the hardware and software framework.
iii. To build the digital twin of the humanoid in 3D experience.
iv. To develop course content to enhance teaching and learning.
