KLE Technological University Hosts First-Year Innovation Exhibitions Prayog Hemanth 2026 and Avinya Hemanth 2026
Hubballi, 13 January 2026: KLE Technological University’s campus came alive with creativity and innovation as the Centre for Engineering Education Research (CEER) hosted its flagship first-year engineering exhibitions – Prayog Hemanth 2026 and Avinya Hemanth 2026 – at the Prabhakar Kore Sporting Arena.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 800 first-year BE students, with 144 teams showcasing projects under Prayog Hemanth and 148 teams under Avinya Hemanth. Students presented working prototypes and innovative concepts that highlighted their emerging technical skills and creativity.
The exhibitions were inaugurated by Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Prakash Tewari, in the presence of Prof. B. L. Desai (Executive Dean), Dr. Uma Mudenagudi (Dean R&D), Dr. Sanjay Kotabagi (Dean of Students Welfare), and Heads of various departments.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Tewari emphasized the pivotal role of engineering in solving real-world problems. He highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary skills, mechatronic system design, and design thinking in addressing societal challenges through practical, hands-on learning.
Student Innovations on Display
The exhibitions featured a diverse range of projects, from practical solutions such as an Automatic Vegetable Cutting Machine to imaginative concepts like a Dream Generator. These projects demonstrated students’ ability to apply design thinking methodologies to real-world problem statements.
These initiatives underscore KLE Tech’s commitment to design-led engineering education, offering first-year students early exposure to prototyping, multidisciplinary collaboration, and solution-oriented engineering practices that effectively bridge classroom learning with real-world applications.
