Department of Biomedical Engineering of KLE Dr. M. S. Sheshgiri College of Engineering and Technology, Belagavi conducted an International Webinar on “Applications of IoT in Modern Healthcare Industry” on 7th January 2021. The eminent speakers of the event were Mr. Gaston Ravin Dias (Clinical Engineer at International College of Business and Technology, Sri Lanka) Ms. R. Sumitha and Ms. Asheni T. Silva (members of Biomedical Engineering team, Sri Lanka).
They spoke about the role, applications and benefits of IoT in Healthcare Industry. They enlightened about the various technologies in Healthcare Industry such as Drone, RFID, Remote medical assistance, IoT wearable technology and mobile health. The session was very motivating and the participants interacted very enthusiastically throughout, 75 students of the department and staffs were present and got benefited.
