Seven researchers of KLE Tech in top 2% of Scientists in Stanford list

Seven faculty and scientists of KLE Technological University, Hubballi, display an exhortatory academic excellence and have made into the top 2% of most influential scientists list released by Stanford University in 2023. The Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier publications is released this list using information from publications, citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index and a composite indicator (c-Score) in 22 scientific fields. These Seven researchers viz: Prof. Tejraj Aminabhavi, Dr. Nagaraj Shetti, Dr. Mohanakrishna Gunda and Dr. Shweta Malode, and Prof. Prabhugouda M Patil are from School of Advance Sciences, Prof. Vinayak Gaitonde, Prof. Nagaraj Banapurmath from School of Mechanical Engineering, and among 4635 from India in the global list of 2,10,199 scientists.

The list comprises of two category, single year list, based on annual publications impact in the year 2022 and other is career list, which depends on impact of lifetime scientific contributions. Four researchers topped in both the career and single year list, viz. Prof. Tejraj M. Aminabhavi and Dr. Nagaraj P. Shetti, Prof. Vinayak Gaitonde and Prof. Prabhugouda Patil. Two scientists Prof. Tejraj M. Aminabhavi and Dr. Nagaraj P. Shetti are internationally recognised in the Stanford list for the successive fifth year for their prolific highest-quality scientific contributions. Prof. Vinayak Gaitonde, Prof. Nagaraj Banapurmath, Dr. Mohanakrishna Gunda and Dr. Shweta Malode are receiving this recognition for the successive second year. KLETech overwhelmed by the highest level of research contributions made by these researchers and taking KLETech to global level.

Prof. Tejraj M. Aminabhavi received this recognition in the areas of polymer science and technology, waste to energy, environmental science, and drug delivery, and has publication history of more than 1029 research articles, 57768 citations, h-index of 75 and highest impact factor of 48.9.  Dr. Nagaraj P. Shetti, contributes in the areas of nanomaterials applications, sensors, biosensors, wastewater treatment, waste to energy, and hydrogen energy production, and has publication history of more than 297 research articles, 13763 citations, and h-index of 75. Prof. Vinayak Gaitonde contributions are recognised in the research areas of modeling and optimization, application of artificial neural networks (ANN), and robust design in manufacturing processes, and has publication history of more than 186 research articles, 6475 citations, and h-index of 41. Prof. Nagaraj Banapurmath contributed in the areas of materials science, alternative fuels, nanotechnology and renewable energy technology and has publication history of more than 349 research articles, 6374 citations, and h-index of 40.  Prof. Prabhugouda M. Patil contributed in research areas of Computational Fluids Dynamics, and has publication history of more than 120 research articles, 2000 citations, and h-index of 30. Dr. Mohanakrishna Gunda work received appreciation in the focus areas of environmental biotechnology, microbial electro-synthesis, and microbial fuel cell, and has publication history of more than 94 research articles, 5219 citations, and h-index of 41. Dr. Shweta Malode made her contributions in electrochemistry, electrode materials and environmental applications, and has publication history of more than 108 research articles, 3899 citations, and h-index of 36.
