The Department of Civil Engineering offers a post graduate program of duration 2 years (4 semesters) that awards the Master of Technology degree in Structural Engineering.

This programme builds the ability of students to analyse and design RCC and steel structures in accordance with standard design codes. Address the societal necessities by interdisciplinary approach through advanced courses and get exposed to the latest technologies to be industry ready or to pursue advanced research. Every year 26 students graduate from our institute with practical experience to provide the best technical knowledge in structural engineering design to society.

    An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems.

    An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.

    Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program.

    An ability to use modern tools in modelling, analyzing, designing and performance evaluation of structures to adopt suitable retrofitting techniques and developing new structural martials with high mechanical properties.
